Florida Food Banks collects food from people who don’t need it; then we provide that food to agencies with clients in need of those resources. Our motto is “meet the need to feed,” we’ve been meeting that need for the past 22 Years in Florida.
Florida Food Banks is a non profit, community-based organization of volunteers who collect and transport surplus food to non-profit distribution centers throughout Palm Beach County.
As the number one provider of rescued food in Palm Beach County, food banks, churches, and other nonprofits rely on the millions of pounds of food donations we rescue each year in order to feed the hungry in Palm Beach County. Palm Beach Harvest provides food 365 days a year to thousands of hungry children and adults who would otherwise go without eating.
Florida Food Banks utilizes volunteers who donate their time to rescue over seven million pounds of food every year. Community gardens are set up to provide additional produce to create the opportunity for the community to learn how to grow additional food for themselves. Where hungry adults and children find food and shelter, Palm Beach Harvest provides nutritious hot meals to those who come to their doors. Palm Beach Harvest feeds people with acquired surplus, as well as food grown or sold at wholesale or retail.
